User management

In here users with the rights to manage users in an organisation can both delete and add users to said organization.

Add a user to an organization

Add a user by filling in the details in their respective fields, all fields except Phone number are mandatory.

Please be careful in assigning users specific rights.

Delete a user

To delete a user click the “Actions” button next to the user you want to delete and select “Delete”.

After clicking delete you will see a confirmation screen to prevent accidental deletion of users.

Please review very carefully, because deleting a user is IRREVERSIBLE .

User rights

Upon creating a user you will see a list with all the different rights a user can have in aewacs.

Below you can find all rights available with a description on what it is limited to.

Most roles can be found in the navigation menu on the left side, to make it more intuitive.

  • Awsaccount

    • Allow a user to add and delete AWS accounts

  • Awsaccount_read

    • Only allow a user to see what AWS accounts are added.

  • Backupschedule

    • Allow a user to add, edit, and delete backup schedules

  • Backupschedule_read

    • Only allow a user to see what backup schedules exist

  • Consolidated

    • Allow a user to work with consolidated billing

  • Environment

    • Allow a user to add schedules to environments

  • Environment_read

    • Only allow a user to see which environments exist

  • Login

    • Allow a user to login into aewacs. Without this an account cannot login

  • Plan settings
    • Allows a user to view and change the plan of the organization
  • Rds

    • Allow a user to add schedules to RDS instances

  • Rds_read

    • Only allow a user to view what RDS instances are connected to aewacs and their respective plans

  • Scaleschedule

    • Allow a user to create or delete scale schedules

  • Scaleschedule_read

    • Only allow a user to view what scale schedules are available in aewacs and their respective settings

  • Scaling

    • Allow a user to manage the scaling related to scale schedules

  • Scaling_read

    • Only allow a user to review what scaling settings are present in aewacs

  • Security_group
    • Allow a user to view and change security groups
  • Security_group_read
    • Allow a user to only view security groups
  • Server

    • Allow a user to manage EC2 instances

  • Server_read

    • Only allow a user to review what EC2 instances are connected to aewacs

  • Stateschedule

    • Allow a user to setup, create, and manage uptime schedules

  • Statescedule_read

    • Only allow a user to review what uptime schedules are present in aewacs

  • Sync

    • Allow a user to synchronize AWS accounts to aewacs

  • Usermanagement

    • Allow a user to add or delete users to the organization

  • Usermanagement_read

    • Only allow a user to review what users are in the organization
