Security Groups

aewacs can maintain your security group comments for you. You will add a CIDR and a comment/description in aewacs. Then aewacs will set the comment in AWS security groups where this CIDR occurs.

On the Security Groups overview page all security groups in all registered AWS accounts are shown. The number of inbound rules without comment is shown for each group. You can click open the group to see the rules.

Though it is possible to edit and save comments here we suggest you instead click edit global CIDR comments. Then click Add a CIDR description for each CIDR and save a description. In the background aewacs will put this description in every inbound rule that has the given CIDR. (aewacs skips rules that already have a comment in AWS.)

Since aewacs 1.2.6
